How HALBEX Works
Every trade follows the same governed, compliance-driven lifecycle — from exporter registration to final commission settlement.
Trade Privacy
HALBEX protects every party with blind-trade architecture, managed communication, and escrow-backed settlement.
Buyer details are never exposed to exporters at any stage of the trade.
Exporter identity stays masked from buyers from origin to destination.
Every route operates on a blind-shipment basis with Switch BL by default.
All buyer–exporter communication is routed and recorded through HALBEX.
Direct contact and off-platform dealing are actively detected and prevented.
Funds are held by HALBEX and released only against verified delivery.
Each product is validated against destination-country regulatory rules.
Every order follows a governed, auditable end-to-end trade lifecycle.
Escrow Controlled Trade
No direct buyer-to-exporter payments. HALBEX holds and releases funds against milestones.
The buyer funds the order in USD into a HALBEX-controlled escrow.
Funds are held securely — no direct buyer-to-exporter payment occurs.
The verified exporter dispatches goods under blind shipment + Switch BL.
Delivery is confirmed within the 48-hour verification window.
Escrow is released once delivery is verified against milestones.
HALBEX deducts its commission only after a successful trade.
Net settlement is disbursed to the exporter and logistics partners.

Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers about how HALBEX works — its merchant-trader model, escrow-controlled payments, compliance validation, blind trade, and launch timeline.
HALBEX (Halbex Private Limited) is an India-first global B2B food export platform headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It runs a merchant-trader model: approved Indian exporters sell to HALBEX and verified international buyers buy from HALBEX, supported by escrow-controlled payments, compliance-driven workflows, and HALBEX-managed logistics.
No. HALBEX is not a public listing directory. It is a merchant-trader trade-infrastructure platform: suppliers sell to HALBEX and buyers buy from HALBEX, so HALBEX is the contracting principal in every trade rather than simply introducing two parties.
HALBEX focuses on Indian-origin food exports across categories including fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy and eggs, halal meat and poultry, frozen and chilled foods, rice, pulses, grains and millets, whole and ground spices, cooking oils and ghee, beverages, sauces and condiments, confectionery, dry fruits and other packaged foods — all subject to Halal certification and HS-code compliance.
Verified Indian exporters can apply. Each exporter must complete KYB (Know Your Business) verification, and every product is checked for compliance before it can be traded. At launch, the export origin is India only.
HALBEX currently supports verified buyers from 41 approved international markets, all sourcing from India. Buyer registration opens in controlled, phased batches ahead of launch.
All payments are escrow-controlled. Buyers fund orders into a HALBEX-controlled escrow; HALBEX holds the funds and releases them to the exporter only after delivery is verified. There are no direct buyer-to-exporter payments.
Escrow is a secure holding mechanism in which buyer funds are held by HALBEX and released to the exporter only against verified delivery and milestones. This protects both buyers and exporters against non-performance.
Blind trading means buyer and exporter identities are kept hidden from each other throughout the trade. HALBEX uses blind shipment with a Switch Bill of Lading by default and routes all communication through the platform to prevent off-platform dealing.
Hiding identities protects HALBEX's role as the merchant-trader, prevents parties from bypassing the platform, and safeguards commercial relationships and pricing. It is a core part of HALBEX's blind-trade architecture.
Every product is validated against destination-country regulatory rules, including HS-code and certification requirements, before it can be traded. Compliance is enforced at checkout, so non-compliant trades are blocked.
Logistics is managed by HALBEX through vetted logistics partners. Shipments operate on a blind-shipment basis with a Switch Bill of Lading, and logistics partners cannot see buyer or exporter identities or trade margins.
Buyer registration opens in controlled, phased batches during the pre-launch program. Applicants who join the waitlist early receive priority onboarding notifications.
HALBEX launches in December 2026, with commercial trading beginning 16 March 2027. Joining the waitlist before launch provides priority access through phased onboarding.
HALBEX offers verified Indian exporters, escrow-protected payments, destination-compliance validation, blind-trade privacy, and managed logistics — reducing risk across the entire export trade lifecycle for both buyers and exporters.
